Paul who wrote the book of Ephesians is one of the prison epistles. He was continously thrown in jail for sharing and preaching the love of Christ. He was a staunch Jewish leader who despised Christians until God knocked him off his high horse. He had a supernatural encounter with Christ and began a personal relationship with God the Father through Jesus (Read Acts Chapter 9)

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes”.
Ephesians1:3-4.NLT
- Paul realized that the works of the law could not save him.
- He help lead the charge to persecute believers in Christ Jesus. Stephen was stoned and matryed. If this is the type of religion that cares or gets you to heaven then you are deceived. If you have no joy of the Lord in your life perhaps there may be some hatred or prejudice in your heart. Notice Paul’s joy was now from within. The joy he experienced was not due to circumstances or what was going on around him. He was experiencing every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus.
In Philippians while in jail he said to “rejoice in the Lord always, again I say say rejoice”. Phil. 4:4
Paul now understood the heavenly perspective and goal in the present and future of his life. - Only God can change the heart, if we allow him to do this. Forgiveness is a powerful release and experience.
“He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins”.
Eph 1:7 NLT
- God loved us and chose us before we decided to follow and serve Him. We are united with Jesus, once we believe in faith to trust him for salvation. Eph.1:4
“You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, that you may go and bear much fruit” John 16:15
“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved”.
Romans 10:9-10
This is the beginning of every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus. The joy we crave is discovered in the Lord. There is real spritual warfare in the heavenly realms to rob you of every spritual blessing and victory!
What battles are you facing today my friend. Have you been robbed of the true joy the Lord desires to give to you by His Holy Spirit?
I want to encourage you and declare to claim back your inheritance in Jesus! Allow him to do the work in your life and family.
Stop being robbed of what God wants for you, even in spite of circumstances that are out of your control. Surrender everything that is a hindrance and trust God has everything under control. As Paul reminds us to rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice”.
Have a joyful weekend my friend.
