Another New Year will be soon upon us and it’s out with the old in with the new! For some of you the challenges of life and the pressures, stresses financially, health, have been excruciating and painful, saying to yourself, “this year cannot end soon enough!” For others it was a good year to reflect back on and count your blessings. This is a time a new chapter can begin for each of us and I’m not speaking of making resolutions. I personally prefer to set goals and have a plan of action and attempt to try, rather than make excuses even if I fail. One thing we are all equal and gifted with in life is time. We have 24 hours each day. If you make an attempt at your goals (if you set goals or resolutions!) and fail or slip up; at least you made the effort. I’m reminded that if I aim at zero or nothing, I will hit the target every time! But if I make an attempt at least I tried. Allow me to encourage you to get back up again, and again, and again if you have to! You can do it with the help of those around you and with the Lord’s help.
“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.”
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NLT
REFUSE to live in misery and allowing circumstances that are out of your control to paralyze you or keep you in a mode of depression.
CHOOSE to move forward no matter what battles you will face and make a difference in 2025! Like Joshua , “Be strong and very courageous” Stay focused with 20/20 vision and stay the course. Your goals are a process and a journey, not just an accomplishment.
Therefore …. stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].
Hebrews 12:1b-2 AMP
Greater is He who is in your than he that is in the world” 1 John 4:4
“We are more than conquerors in Christ”
Romans 8:37
Do not allow the past to ruin your future. Learn from it and move forward.
“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us”.
Phil.3:13-14 NLT
Trust the Lord and His Word for guidance and direction, and victory…” Walk and run with the Lord in faith trusting Him with all your heart, and God will direct your plans and goals.
A HAPPY HEALTHY PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR TO EACH OF YOU IN 2025!
