Changing of the Seasons

It is refreshing when the summer hot humid air changes into cooler less humid fall weather. I have noticed the color of leaves beginning to change here in New England. From Boston to Stowe VT, NH, ME, RI, and CT the scenes around here are some of the most picturesque scenes of beauty in your life.

Change is inevitable, but for most of us, we don’t like change.

For most of us change seems to disrupt our lives and our everyday habits, and routines. Change of careers, moving to a place we are unfamiliar with. Even dating or marriage brings changes, like spending less time with our old friends because of somebody you may be falling in love with.

Personally, my life changed, when I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ as Savior.
If any man be in Christ. He is a new creation, old things pass away behold all things become new” 2 Corinthians 5:17

When God forgives and changes our heart, our life should change. The change is for the better, if we believe and trust God at His Word. The Lord changes our character, bad behavior, lifestyle. This change does not come over night, but is a lifetime process. It is called sanctification. A big word that simply means to be set apart to God. God is holy and he desires for us to be holy. In our own strength, flesh, works, we cannot do it. The laws of the Old Testament could not make us holy, so God sent Jesus to die for our sins and shed his blood, that we may gain access to God’s Holy presence.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, [20] by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body… Hebrews 10:19-20 NIV

Notice we enter God’s presence by a new a living way, the blood that Jesus shed at the cross. There is no other way to enter. Jesus became our Great High Priest.

The key to change is not to change everything all at once because, we will usually fall flat on our face, and easily tend to give up following God.
The key is to come as you are. Yes, no matter where you are at in life and what your situation is, come as you are.
Why? Change will come, as you allow the power of God’s Spirit to live inside your heart and to live through you. That old sinful nature or that old man the flesh.

Romans 6:6-7, 11, 13-14 NLT
We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. [7] For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.
[11] So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.
[13] Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. [14] Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace”. (Read Romans chapter 6-8).

You may think change won’t happen for you, because you have blown it so many times! Well it can happen and today is your day, because Christ has given you the victory already if you only believe. ” greater is He that is in you than He (Christ) that is in the world” 1 John 4:4.

Let it go my friend. Stop making excuses and listening to the enemies lies. You cannot do it on your own, but allow the power of God’s grace and Spirit live in and through you now. We have been made righteous and holy in Jesus Christ and his righteousness. (Romans ch. 4-5)

You can experience God’s presence daily and not just a once a week thing at church. God desires that we live for Him and live holy, and experience a personal relationship walk with Him daily. We can because we have access to God’s throne by the blood of Jesus. A new and living way.

When the Lord changes us He changes us and our heart from the inside out!

Lord my prayer today is to confess I have failed you, forgive me if my stubborn. Sinful, selfish ways. Help me to walk according to your Word as I trust you in faith. Believing You have everything under control as I surrender my life to You. In Jesus name. Amen.

Have a wonderful day and coming weeknof change my friend.

Greetings! My name is Andy Provitola and I live in New England on the South Shore between Boston and the beautiful Cape Cod region. The purpose of my blogging and writing is to encourage you in your journey here on planet earth. Life is full of pressing issues and problems and my desire is to discover a place for peace, hope, healing, and contentment. I am a follower of Jesus Christ – God’s one and only Son and I discovered these truths along my own personal journey. Having discovered a personal relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ does not mean I have to be religious to attain the rewards of heaven. The fact is God provides grace for us and accepts us as we are in His image. In other words, we cannot attain heaven or life eternal on our own, but by God’s loving grace and no merit of our own. Simply by accepting Him by faith and believing. My goal is to continue to find a balance of life from a spiritual and practical perspective with a purpose to please and glorify God in all that I do because of His ‘Gift of Grace’. God is not transcendent and so far away that he is out of reach with humanity. God desires that His presence lives within us and not just in the galaxies and the universe. Experiencing the unconditional love of God has been so rewarding and while discovering the truth and purpose for my life. Moving forward in this life is not a sprint, but a marathon when it comes to this race here on earth. I am blogging because I find it is a good way to connect in a much more effective and efficient way when it comes to communicating and interacting with people that I know or do not know. Blogging and writing challenges me and also stretches me specifically in my thoughts, my mind, my emotions, and my spiritual life. To live a vertical relation with God and a horizontal relationship with others. There will be a variety of topics and subjects to address including youth, young adults, family, singles, seniors, relationships, etc. Some of the topics will include God’s creation and power, depression, loneliness, suicide, hope, healing, setbacks, financial matters, business, stress, anxiety, care, encouragement, and so much more. I would like to connect with all walks of life, ethnicity, culturally, other religions, socio-economics, and in so many more ways. I am currently writing a book and several memoirs about my own life and journey . The journey begins at a young age growing up in Malden, Massachusetts, specifically Maplewood Square to where I am today. I became paralyzed from the waist down as a senior in high school and I share how my life changed for the better! “But I do not consider my life as something of value or dear to me, so that I may [with joy] finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus. To testify faithfully of the good news of God’s [precious undeserved] grace [which makes us free of guilt of sin and grants us eternal life]. Acts 20:24 Amplified Version
