The Lord Equips Us for the Task
Have you ever tried to play a sport with the wrong equipment? You can’t play baseball with a football, or play football with a hockey puck. How about trying to build or fix something with the wrong tool? Frustrating isn’t it?
When trying to move ahead in life with your career, changing jobs, careers, or serving God in the ministry can be frustrating as well. The plan is not working as we thought it was supposed to. Or at least how we thought it is supposed to work.
God says, “My thoughts are not your thoughts and your ways are not my ways”. So often we plow away in life’s tasks thinking what we are doing is the right thing. There are times we are even burning out and we don’trealize it. Perhaps you feel like this right now and your “dream” is not what your supposed to be doing! God may have other plans that are bigger and better for you, but you are convinced this is what I’m supposed to be doing, because some motivational speaker or attending a hyped up convention or church meeting told you different!
“The ways of a person may seem right in there own eyes, but in the end lead to destruction”. God used two profound men Peter and Jonah they were both stubborn but until they surrendered their lives to what the Lord wanted, God could not equip them for the task He called them to. If you’re called to be an eye doctor then be an eye doctor not a heart surgeon. You get my drift.
The bottom line is that when God calls us, or we are gifted for a certain task in this life then do it. The Lord will always equip us for the right task if we allow Him to help us. We just have to get out of our own way, not giving up, and ask the Lord to surrender, trusting Him completely. It may not make sense now, but I promise you if you release your task to Him God will pave the way just like He did for David defeating Goliath. When God appoints, He anoints!
“So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.
1 Samuel 16:13 NIV
When you have nothing but five little smooth stones. When God takes the weak things of this world to defeat the strong. Your never alone when the Lord is in your battle. Let it go and trust Him by faith to do the impossible. Risk can be costly. But Christ Jesus gave his life which cost him his life. The promise came to pass three days later when Jesus rose from the grave and conquered death. God’s path may not always be easy, but when you see the victory there is no telling what you can and will do,when the Lord is in it. His presence makes the difference. My desire is to see the Christ in me.
So fear not, and don’t be intimidated, shy, or afraid, but believe and know God’s presence is with you to do His will and bidding.
Remember, when God puts His trust in us, we have the choice to say ,Yes Lord!”
“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NLT
“God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful”.
1 Thessalonians 5:24
Have a great day my friend.
