Spiritual Warfare The Real Battle

Even Though The Battle is The Lord’s, We Must Do Our Part. It’s Called Prayer in Spiritual Warfare.

Have you ever had those times or seasons in your life where you just don’t have the energy to pray. Your daily walk with the Lord is dry and just plain boring? Heaven feels like brass and your prayers to God are just repetition and seem to go no where. Your life is worn out, breaking down subtly spiritually, emotionally, even physically.

Perhaps part of this problem is that you are not aware of the real spiritual warfare that is taking place in your life or family. May I add our nation 🇺🇸 as well.

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places”.
Ephesians 6:12 NLT

If you know anything about spiritual battles there are real dark and evil forces behind the scenes (unseen forces) over your life and family. Paul the Apostle emphasizes this reality when his life turned to Christ.

Notice we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, meaning the physical realm. If you think the devil or Satan is a myth then I am sorry to say that you are deceived. The devil is not a fictional character with a red suit and pitch fork. He is a real evil and dark spirit.

“Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”

Paul says, ” the god of this world, has blinded the minds who don’t believe” in 2 Corinthians4:4.

Can we be deceived or tricked by Satan or his cohorts? Yes, but this is why we must be aware that the spirits of darkness are at work and we must be awake and alert even when we are weak and facing the battles. The real battles we face are spritiual and they are real whether you believe it or not!

We are reminded in Ephesians 6:12 the real battle is “but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places”.

God has done His part. Christ won and bought the victory with his blood at the cross. The devil is already defeated, but he won’t give up trying to deceive us whether you are a believer in Christ or not.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. [9] Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith.” 1 Peter 5:8-9a NLT

We must be equipped in our battles:

  1. We are called to pray and to put on the whole armor of God. Read Ephesians 6:10-18
  2. We are to stand strong and firm and resist the devil and his evil forces.
If you’re a child of God there is no need to fear but to stand in the gap and to pray and intercede.
  3. Talk to God and pour out your heart to Him. Jesus is the Great High Priest! Read book of Hebrews. Christ is our Mediator between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5-6.
  4. If your daily devotion is dry change up your routine but stay fresh. Read and meditate on God’s Word. Have a solid devotional book or read blogs like this! 🙂
  5. Believe and Trust the Lord no matter how bad it looks. God will make a way even when there seems to be no way.
  6. Be patient and rejoice in the Lord. Be thankful.
“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!
[6] Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:4,6
  7. Read and Study Ephesians 6:10-18
Try to commit to memorize this section.

Have a fresh new start my friend and may we be reminded God the Father wants us to partner with us in our spiritual battles 🙏

Greetings! My name is Andy Provitola and I live in New England on the South Shore between Boston and the beautiful Cape Cod region. The purpose of my blogging and writing is to encourage you in your journey here on planet earth. Life is full of pressing issues and problems and my desire is to discover a place for peace, hope, healing, and contentment. I am a follower of Jesus Christ – God’s one and only Son and I discovered these truths along my own personal journey. Having discovered a personal relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ does not mean I have to be religious to attain the rewards of heaven. The fact is God provides grace for us and accepts us as we are in His image. In other words, we cannot attain heaven or life eternal on our own, but by God’s loving grace and no merit of our own. Simply by accepting Him by faith and believing. My goal is to continue to find a balance of life from a spiritual and practical perspective with a purpose to please and glorify God in all that I do because of His ‘Gift of Grace’. God is not transcendent and so far away that he is out of reach with humanity. God desires that His presence lives within us and not just in the galaxies and the universe. Experiencing the unconditional love of God has been so rewarding and while discovering the truth and purpose for my life. Moving forward in this life is not a sprint, but a marathon when it comes to this race here on earth. I am blogging because I find it is a good way to connect in a much more effective and efficient way when it comes to communicating and interacting with people that I know or do not know. Blogging and writing challenges me and also stretches me specifically in my thoughts, my mind, my emotions, and my spiritual life. To live a vertical relation with God and a horizontal relationship with others. There will be a variety of topics and subjects to address including youth, young adults, family, singles, seniors, relationships, etc. Some of the topics will include God’s creation and power, depression, loneliness, suicide, hope, healing, setbacks, financial matters, business, stress, anxiety, care, encouragement, and so much more. I would like to connect with all walks of life, ethnicity, culturally, other religions, socio-economics, and in so many more ways. I am currently writing a book and several memoirs about my own life and journey . The journey begins at a young age growing up in Malden, Massachusetts, specifically Maplewood Square to where I am today. I became paralyzed from the waist down as a senior in high school and I share how my life changed for the better! “But I do not consider my life as something of value or dear to me, so that I may [with joy] finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus. To testify faithfully of the good news of God’s [precious undeserved] grace [which makes us free of guilt of sin and grants us eternal life]. Acts 20:24 Amplified Version
